Please read these terms of use carefully. By using the Passport Photo Lab (hereinafter "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms").

The developer and owner of the Passport Photo Lab service is Tremble Oy: business ID (Finland): 3235618-3, e-mail address: info@passportphotolab.com.

The service is an internet image editing service provided by Tremble Oy, which allows customers (hereinafter “You”) to edit an image to suit various technical image standards, such as passport image standards. If you are not yet 18 years of age, you must also obtain the approval of your guardians before accepting these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms or you are not authorized to act as a party to this Agreement on your own behalf or on behalf of an entity you represent, you will not be entitled to use the Passport Photo Lab service.

How the service works

The purpose of the service is to enable you to edit your own photos to a technically specific type. This means the image format, pixel size, size on disk, and file pixel density metadata (DPI). In addition, the service helps to crop the photo so that the subject's face is at the desired position in the image at the desired size.

The payments for the service are carried out using Paddle service. Paddle acts as a reseller for the Service.

Tremble Oy has the right to change the Service at any time.

Refund Policy & Money Back Guarantee

Our 30-day money back guarantee applies only to first-time customers who purchase a one-time 7-day license key. This guarantee is valid from the purchase date and expires 30 days later. Please note that 12-month key purchases and subsequent 7-day key purchases are not eligible for the money back guarantee.

To qualify for a refund, you must submit a refund request within 30 days of your first 7-day key purchase date. This guarantee applies whether you're unsatisfied with the software, or if your edited passport photo isn't accepted.

To request a refund, please contact our customer service team with your order details, including your order number, the email address used for the purchase, and the reason for your refund request.

Upon receiving your refund request, our team will process it promptly. Refunds will be issued back to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow up to 7 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.

This guarantee does not apply to any other products, services, or charges. Only the first 7-day key purchase per customer is eligible for this refund.

Using activation keys

The activation keys purchased for the Service are for one person only: one key per user. Handing over the key to another person is prohibited. However, buying a key as a gift for another person is allowed if the buyer does not use the key themselves. One user can use the same key on multiple devices, but not on multiple devices at the same time.

If Tremble Oy detects sharing of the key or other prohibited use, Tremble Oy may lock the key without a notice and without the unused time being reimbursed to the buyer of the key. The use of the keys is automatically monitored by technical means.

The active time of the activation key always starts from the moment of purchase. If a user purchases more than one key, the active time for all of them starts from the time of purchase.

What the Service does not do

The Service can only guarantee the compatibility of the technical characteristics of the images produced with it with the desired image standard. The Service does not check the images uploaded by the user and does not guarantee their general suitability for the user's intended use in any way. For example, a user-uploaded image may have poor lighting, be noisy, or be distorted. The service does not point out such deficiencies in the image in any way. The service also does not correct any such errors in the image.

These Terms are binding only between you and Tremble Oy. Tremble Oy or the Service has no connection with any government authority or other third party. Tremble Oy cannot guarantee that the images produced by the Service will comply with the instructions of any third party. Always check the photo instructions and requirements from their original publisher.

By purchasing a license to use the Service (activation key), you are purchasing only a limited license to use the Service to edit the images of your choice. The Service does not pass on images to any third party and does not check or guarantee their suitability for third party requirements.

Your images will only be processed locally on your device and will not be sent to our servers or third-party servers at any time.

License and purpose of the Service

You agree to use the Service solely for the purpose for which the Service is intended. The use of the Service for illegal, improper or competitive purposes is strictly prohibited, which is why Tremble Oy reserves the right to intervene in the violations it detects.

You agree to use the Service in such a way that you provide only correct and accurate information on the Service and do not transmit any illegal or unethical material through the Service.

Tremble Oy has the right to delete your information or suspend your access to the Service if Tremble Oy suspects a breach of the Terms, illegal activity, improper activity, or when there is an obligation to do so pursuant to law or an official order.

Ownership and all intellectual property rights of the Service belong to Tremble Oy or its contractual partners.

Tremble Oy does not acquire any rights to the images you upload to or create with the Service.

Privacy policy

By using the Service, you also agree to the Service's privacy practices. The Service's privacy practices are described in more detail in the Service's Privacy policy.

In addition to the policies described in the Service Privacy policy, you agree to the following policies:

1. By using the Service, you provide Tremble Oy with personal information about yourself based on your own consent.
2. Tremble Oy has the right to use all information arising from the use of the Service to enable the operation of the Service, to correct possible error situations, to develop and modify the Service and to fulfill and use the rights and obligations under the Terms.
3. Tremble Oy also has the right to use the information generated from the use of the Service anonymously for the development and marketing of Tremble Oy's business. We can e.g. use the information from the Service to create statistics about images edited through the Service (e.g., the number of images edited) and other matters that do not reveal your identity.

The rights and obligations regarding the use of personal data continue as required by law even after the termination of the use of the Service.

Your and Tremble Oy's responsibilities

Tremble Oy is not responsible for the suitability of the image modified in the Service for third parties.

Tremble Oy is not liable for any damage or inconvenience caused to you directly or indirectly as a result of using the Service.

You will be personally liable for any inconvenience or damage you may suffer as a result of using the Service.

You will be fully liable to Tremble Oy and other appropriate third parties for any damage and inconvenience caused by you.

The service is being actively developed and Tremble Oy strives to build the service on good information security. However, due to the nature of the online services, we point out that Tremble Oy delivers the Service as is and does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free or that any information or other material available on the Service will be free of malware or other harmful content. Please contact Tremble Oy immediately if you discover or suspect any harmful aspects of the Service.

The websites of the Service may contain hyperlinks to sites other than those maintained by Tremble Oy. Tremble Oy does not control such third party websites and is not responsible for their content, their use or the applicable terms of use of such websites. The links provided by the Service to these websites do not imply that Tremble Oy accepts the material provided by these websites or that Tremble Oy controls their content.

In addition to the above, so-called force majeure may make it difficult or impossible for Tremble Oy to react or act to intervene in the event of disturbances, inconveniences or damage.

Validity and changes to the Terms

You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by contacting the Service.

Tremble Oy may terminate or block your right to use the Service at any time if Tremble Oy considers that there is a valid reason for doing so.

Tremble Oy may change these Terms at any time. You agree to the new Terms if you continue to use the Service after the change to the Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your user information as described above.

However, upon termination of your use of the Service or your right to use the Service, any terms of use set forth in the Terms that, by their nature, are required to remain in force (i.e., with respect to liability and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

Transfer of rights

Tremble Oy has the right to transfer the Service, its production and the rights and obligations under it to any third party without your consent. This also includes the right to transfer personal information about you to a third party if the Service or any part of the Service is transferred to a third party.

Dispute settlement and applicable law

Finnish law shall in principle apply to disputes and disagreements arising from the use of the Service or otherwise from these Terms. However, please note that the Service is available in several countries. Due to differences in the legal and regulatory requirements of different countries, the Service may be provided with different content and different terms of service depending on the country.

All issues will be resolved primarily through mediation. If no agreement is reached despite the conciliation, the dispute may be referred to the Helsinki District Court at first instance. A consumer's claim against Tremble Oy based on mandatory consumer protection legislation may also be examined in a lower court in whose jurisdiction the consumer has the right to have the matter resolved on the basis of its local legislation.
